Student Academic Assistance - 3rd Grade Weekly Reading Volunteer - Kirsch
Ms. Kirsch is seeking third-grade reading volunteers for her daily reading class.
Volunteers will commit to a day of the week (Mo / Tu / We / Th / Fr) and volunteer once weekly for the duration of the school year, during the 2:15pm - 2:55pm class time.
Volunteers work with a small group of students in a separate area, running a guided reading group. Students take turns reading aloud. Volunteers will help students understand the text by asking questions.
Literacy expertise is not required! We are looking for volunteers that are patient and easily connect with kids. Check out this video from our District Literacy Specialists for helpful tips and information.
If interested, please sign up for a the weekday of your choice. It is HIGHLY PREFERRED that volunteers come once weekly on consistent days. Please contact Deb Kirsch if you would like to coordinate a different schedule or have questions about this opportunity.
