Student Academic Assistance - Small Group Mathematics Support Grades K-5
Lincoln Elementary is seeking volunteers to work with students in small groups and one-on-one for math learning. A strong background in mathematics is a plus, but is NOT necessary. Math and/or teaching knowledge is not required. A volunteer that can easily make connections with kids and can keep kids on task is most helpful. In this role, patience and positivity are the key.
Activities will include math games and story problems with use of manipulatives. Volunteers may work with small groups or individuals.
The schedule for this activity will be based upon your availability. Volunteers will coordinate schedules with Heidi Merkel, Title 1 Math Teacher & Specialist.
