The APEGA K-12 Outreach Team is excited to invite you to participate as a volunteer in APEGA’s Rock & Fossil Clinic! For over 30 years, APEGA has offered this opportunity to explore the wonders of geoscience to youth, families and the public. This year, we continue this tradition with an interactive and educational experience that promises to engage and provide learning opportunities for attendees of all ages. We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us for the following Assist the public in identifying their rock and fossil samples! Students will learn more about geoscience by sharing their own rock and fossil samples with APEGA volunteers through an engaging and hands-on event. Volunteers may wish to bring their own collections in to showcase to attendees.

From the Rocky Mountains to the Boreal Forest Alberta has a rich geological history including a vast treasure trove of fossils spread throughout the province. By sharing your passion for geoscience, you help educate the public on Alberta’s history, vital natural resources and ignite a passion for science and learning in the next generation of Geoscience professionals.
