On May 13th, 2025 APEGA's Outreach Department will be hosting  resume review events in Edmonton and Calgary for participants in the Work Readiness Program--a new initiative for university students and MITs designed to help them build the knowledge, skills and attitudes that will prepare them for their careers in engineering and geoscience. If you're a professional member or Human Resources Professional in Edmonton or Calgary we invite you to come down to APEGA's Offices and help kickstart students' careers by polishing and refining their resumes to best highlight their skills, experience and enthusiasm.

Duties & Expectations

Skills and Qualifications

Conduct 1-1 resume reviews or mock interviews with students and emerging professionals

Provide guidance and advice to help individuals advance their careers

Positively represent APEGA as an ambassador of the association

APEGA Professional Member, or Human Resources Professional

Willingness to share knowledge and network with young professionals

Professional experience in conducting employment interviews

Professional experience reviewing resumes

 

 

Qualifications Required

  • How much experience do you have conducting employment interviews? Must be at least 3. <1 year professional
  • How much experience do you have reviewing resumes? Must be at least 3. <1 year professional
