Ishxenta SP - Natural Resource Volunteer Program (Ishxenta Advanced Volunteer Days)

The invasive bush, French Broom, stares menacingly, its numerous, fabaceous yellow flowers glowing in the sunlight.

Be part of one of our longest running volunteer projects! Join us at Ishxenta State Park for a morning of pulling invasive French Broom from the beautiful Monterey Pine Forest.

Volunteers must be comfortable walking and working in difficult terrain, off-trail, and in areas with poison oak, steep slopes, and ticks. That's why we call it an "advanced" volunteer event!

WHEN: Every 2nd Monday from 9am - 12pm

WHERE TO MEET: Location varies. Please RSVP for details.

Please email volunteer.monterey@parks.ca.gov to RSVP!
