Caring for Parks

On-going Programs - Julia Davis Park Rose Garden

Julia Davis Park Rose GardenSince 1935, the Julia Davis Park Rose Garden has attracted gardeners of varying expertise who share something in common - a passion for roses.

The Rose Garden has always been a labor of love by and for the people of Boise, and you can help us keep the tradition alive by volunteering one morning each week through the summer. Garden care includes tasks such as weeding, deadheading, fence painting, trash and debris removal, and other tasks as needed.

Beginning April 2, 2021, Boise Parks & Recreation will hold weekly work sessions on Friday mornings, from 8:00 - 11:00 a.m. Work sessions will continue through the growing season, ending in mid-late September. All skills and knowledge levels are welcome. Our professional staff will provide direction and training for anyone who is interested in lending a hand.
