Special Events - Conservation in the City

We are looking for some extra hands to help us out with a brand new event. Conservation in the City will invite the public to come and learn about all the great conservation and sustainability work the City and its partners are doing. Participating agencies will setup booths throughout Kathryn Albertson Park and everyone from the community can come talk with them to about what they are doing and what they can do to help.

We need help in a number of different capacities, including setting things up in the morning, working information booths and other logistics during the event, and helping tear things down when everything wraps up. Volunteer shifts are as follows:

7:30 - 9:00 a.m.
Help set things up for the event. This will include setting up canopies and tables, and helping City and partner agencies bring in their gear.

9:00 a.m. - 12:30 p.m., 12:30 - 2:00 p.m.
Help work information booths at park entrances, interact with the public in the park, or just be a runner to help deal with any issues that may arise throughout the event. Volunteers can either sign up for a morning shift, afternoon shift, or choose to help for the entire event.

2:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Help wrap things up at the conclusion of the event. This includes taking down and loading up canopies, tables, etc. and making sure the park gets cleaned up.

We are super excited about this event and would love to have your help!
