Caring for Parks

On-going Programs - Adopt-A-Park

The Adopt-A-Park program engages churches, civic organizations, local businesses, and other community groups in the ongoing care of their favorite neighborhood park. Adopting groups commit to maintaining their park for a renewable one-year term. Participants help eradicate graffiti, pick up litter, fill dog bag dispensers, paint and repair site amenities, rake leaves, spread bark mulch around trees and planting beds, and more. In exchange, the Department recognizes adopting groups via signage in the park and on each park's web page on the City of Boise's web site.

If you love your neighborhood park and would like help us keep it in tip top shape, we would enjoy partnering with you to do so.

Volunteers must review the City of Boise Volunteer Handbook to participate.
