Boise Kind Day - Goathead Removal - Camel's Back & Hulls Gulch Goathead Removal
Help us remove invasive goatheads from Hulls Gulch and Camel's Back reserves on Boise Kind Day! Noxious weeds, like puncturevine, form dense thickets that negatively alter the landscape and also impact recreational users by causing flat tires and injuring pet's feet. Help us remove this pesky intruder and slow the spread of goatheads by removing plants on Red Fox, Kestrel, Owl's Roost, and Lower Hulls Gulch Trails.
A maximum number of 100 participants will be accepted for this project. Folks should wear clothing that can get dirty, sturdy shoes (no flip-flops or sandals), and bring work gloves. It is easiest to remove goatheads with a gardening tool, so please also bring a trowel, pruners, weed knife, or any other implement that can assist with removing these plants from the ground.
Volunteers must review the City of Boise Volunteer Handbook to participate.
