Special Events - Releaf Boise

Established in 1990, the Boise Parks & Recreation Department's Community Forestry Unit started ReLeaf Boise, a citizen volunteer effort to plant trees along city streets. ReLeaf Boise stemmed from American Forests' Global ReLeaf campaign, an international quest to improve the earth's environment through the planting of trees.

In Boise, 100's of trees have been planted on public rights-of-way by the generous labor of volunteers. Beautifying and cooling the streets of Boise, these trees have improved our community's quality of life.
