Ridge to Rivers

Foothills & Open Space - Tending Our Foothills

We are holding two work sessions in late April to further our rehabilitation efforts in the area affected by last year's fire in Table Rock. The effort began last fall with 100's of volunteers planting sagebrush and bitterbrush. We will continue the effort on April 22 and April 29th, by removing cheatgrass and medusahead around last year’s plantings, as well as removal of weeds like rush skeleton weed and tumble mustard.

We are looking for 25 people per work session. The work is fairly labor intensive and takes place in some rugged areas. If you think you're capable, we'd love to have you!

Volunteers must review the City of Boise Volunteer Handbook to participate.
