Satellite After School Centers - Youth Sports League Coaches
Boise Parks and Recreation is searching for volunteer soccer coaches at four of our after-school programs at Taft, Hawthorne, Jefferson and Garfield elementary schools. In conjunction with our existing Kid City elementary programs, coaches will work with 3rd-6th grade students creating lineups and teaching soccer rules, concepts, and soccer skills. All while promoting and maintaining a healthy, safe, and cohesive environment.
The Boise Youth Sports League is a non-competitive, intramural league. The league does not keep score on games, and is designed to promote sportsmanship, positive behaviors and social skills, teamwork, healthy activity and healthy interactions. Coaching shifts will run between the hours of 3:45 - 5:15 p.m.
Background checks are required for this position. Coaches meetings and program training will be provided. Experience with soccer and soccer programming is preferred, but is not required.
