Caring for Parks

On-going Programs - Boise Bike Park

The J.A. and Kathryn Albertson Foundation Bike Park is an exciting new addition to our wonderful city, and is already getting lots of love. It’s a ton of fun seeing everyone enjoy the space.

These types of facilities don't just happen, however. It's taken a lot of time and effort to get it up and running, and will continue to require loads of attention to keep the park clean, safe, and operational. Which is where you come in!

We are looking for some die hard Boise Bike Park users to help us care for the facility. On the second Saturday each month, 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m., we are hosting a work party to help with everything from weed removal (GOATHEADS ARE BAD!) to trail and feature maintenance. All work parties will be weather dependent.

Due to the scope of work, volunteers must be 16 years of age. Volunteers must review the City of Boise Volunteer Handbook to participate.

Qualifications Required

  • Volunteer Handbook Review Must be Complete
  • Volunteer Waiver Must be Complete
  • Volunteer's Age Must be at least 16
