Gallery Event Volunteer
Do you thrive in dynamic settings engaging with people?
Gallery Event Volunteers provide support at artist talks,
exhibit openings, Family Sundays, and more.
Responsibilities
- Assist staff and co-volunteers in hosting Gallery events
- Engage and welcome visitors to the Surrey Art Gallery
- Assist visitors with information and directions
- Communicate with gallery staff if issues arise or in the case of an emergency
- Provide feedback by completing a program evaluation
- Understand and follow Surrey Art Gallery guidelines
- Communicate effectively with staff, co-volunteers, and the Volunteer Coordinator
Your qualifications
• A passion for art
• Enjoy working with children
• Great communication and people skills
• Enjoy contributing to a team and be able to work independently
• Undergo an RCMP security clearance
• Are 14 years of age or older
Training
- Throughout the Volunteer Shift, while working with the event staff supervisor
