Friends of the Library - Friends of the library (14 and 15 years old)

Board Volunteer: Friends of the Library seek to recruit several volunteers to join their FOL Board. Being a part of the FOL Board provides a unique opportunity to help with fundraising and other administrative tasks that support the Library in its mission: "To ignite growth through trans-formative experience".

Duties include but are not limited to: the maintenance of corporate record; the recording and distribution of minutes; attendance at monthly meetings; assistance with events and meeting preparation. Must be able to write and articulate coherently, be computer literate, and work in a team environment. Advertising/Marketing experience is a plus. FOL mostly raises money through book sales to fund programs at our community library.

This is a great opportunity for anyone interested in libraries. Being a part of the Friends of the SMCL can be an excellent experience to build your personal resume. We are open to your suggestions for ways to assist.

Friends Book Sale Support: Have a love of reading? Join our group of volunteers for the Friends of the Library Bookshop. Help sort the many books and other media that are donated daily to the library. Learn to prepare these materials for sale by selecting, pricing and attractively displaying them in the FOL Bookshop.

We'd love you to join us, most important the funds raised support many of the Library programs. We’d love you to join us!
