HR Administration Volunteer
Importance of Position: The individual fulfilling these duties is part of the Department of Human Resources for the City of Sacramento. It’s very important that the initial impression be professional. Confidentiality and integrity are of utmost importance.
Skills, qualifications or requirements for assignment: The HR Administration Volunteer needs to have comfort with the Microsoft Office Suite and be a quick study and able to be highly discreet and keep all information confidential. Ability to file, general computer skills, fluency in English, patience and professionalism required. Willingness to learn new computer software and programs important.
Duties and Responsibilities (List specific tasks to be done by the volunteer): The HR Administration Volunteer will scan and index files and other duties as assigned.
Training Provided: Orientation to the City’s programs and departments, written orientation handbook, on-the-job support and supervision.
Duration of assignment: This is an on-going volunteer opportunity and will be filled as vacated.
Hours Needed and Proposed Schedule: Flexible schedule Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. 8-10 hours per week for a semester (spring/summer/fall)
Assignment location: Historic City Hall, 1st Floor, 915 I Street, Sacramento, CA 95814

Grounds for Termination: Volunteers will not be considered employees of the City of Sacramento. All volunteers serve The City of Sacramento at will, and either the City of Sacramento or the volunteer may terminate the arrangement without notice or consideration.
