Mesa Arts Center - Theater Usher
Do you have a love for the Arts and enjoy working with the public? Join Mesa Arts Center's team as a volunteer theater usher! Ushers provide patrons with memorable and rewarding experiences. Some usher tasks include greeting patrons, answering questions, scanning tickets, and helping patrons to their seats. Mesa Arts Center has four theaters and offers shows nearly every day.
Volunteers are ready to sign-up for usher shifts once they have completed New Volunteer Orientation, New Usher Orientation and Emergency Evacuation Training. Volunteers can self-select as few or as many volunteer shifts as desired using their online volunteer account.
The usher dress code consists of a white long-sleeved dress shirt, black closed toe shoes, and black dress slacks. Women may also wear black skirts. Ushers are provided a red vest, black tie, name tag and flashlight to complete their uniform.
Theater ushers enjoy several benefits including: gaining valuable experience in the arts field, making wonderful new friendships, and earning points that can be redeemed for various prizes including select Performing Live tickets, class discounts, and more!
Theater ushers must be at least 18 years old and able to stand for long periods of time and walk up and down stairs.
Potential volunteers must first submit a completed volunteer application and pass a fingerprint and background check before they can begin volunteering. Once clearance is received, they will be invited to the New Volunteer Orientation.
