ADMINISTRATION - Weekend Volunteer Shift Supervisor
Must be at least 20 years old to apply
Current Available Shifts:
Two Saturdays shifts each month 10a-1p or 1p-4p
Two Sunday shifts each month 12p-4p
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Interview prospective teen volunteers, train, mentor and assist teens during their shift, Support adult and teen volunteers, provide teens to assist birthday party facilitators as needed, work with front desk and security to welcome and support our museum visitors. Assist with scheduling, reports and volunteer recognition as needed. Complete a shift report at the end of your shift.
SKILLS, ATTITUDES, KNOWLEDGE
Management skills, good people skills, good customer service, knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word, willingness to learn volunteer database, experience working with teens and adults.
NOTE: Must be fingerprinted by City of Mesa
TIME COMMITMENT
At least 8 hours a month on Saturday or Sunday, quarterly meetings, occasionally covering a shift for colleague.
RELATIONSHIPS, LIAISONS
Will work with Volunteer Coordinator, Teen Volunteer Coordinator, Education Staff and other volunteers
