Working with Children - After-School Tutoring

Support Learning - Volunteer Today! Writing hand 

Our tutoring program connects dedicated volunteers with students from grades K - 12 to provide academic support in reading, writing, and math. All grades are supported Monday through Thursday. By offering one-on-one or small group sessions, tutors help strengthen foundational skills, build confidence, and encourage a lifelong love of learning.

What You'll Do:

  • Assist kids with homework when needed
  • Work with 1-2 kids at a time for about an hour with provided activities aimed at improving reading and math skills

Details:

  • Time: 4-5 PM and/or 5-6 PM
  • Frequency: Weekly, Monday - Thursday
  • Location: 4222 Delor Street, 63116
  • Commitment: Minimum, a school semester
  • Requirements: Anyone, 16 years+
  • Preferences: Experience in education isn't needed, but volunteers should feel comfortable with helping kids in grades K-5th primarily.
