The Fruit Tree Project is a gleaning program that connects fruit tree owners who don't want to, or are not able to, harvest their trees with a group of volunteer harvesters. The harvest is split between the owner, volunteers, and community organizations.
Fruit Harvesting Volunteers will be notified when a pick is upcoming and attend based on their availability to a maximum of spaces per pick.
Fruit is harvested from the ground, on ladders, or using expandable fruit picking poles. Volunteers who don't want to climb ladders can also help to sort and grade fruit, or with deliveries to community organizations.
