JOB DESCRIPTION

A volunteer is needed to assist with the set up and practical help with running garden workshops.  Activities include

• Assisting children to plant, weed and care for vegie patches
• To assist children with using garden equipment such as gloves, hoses, compost etc.
• Help children with hygiene such as washing their hands

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Enthusiasm and enjoyment for working in the outdoors with primary age children
• Patience and kindness when working with young children
• A good sense of humour
• No prior garden experience or knowledge is required but it is a bonus if you have some garden know how

Tuesday Afternoons for 2 hours

A teacher and parents will be involved in the session

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

All potential volunteers are interviewed as well as being required to undergo a police vetting check
