ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT - Waste Minimisation Educator

JOB DESCRIPTION

The Otago Farmers Market requires a volunteer to staff the waste station at the Market and help the public make the right choice as to which bin to use.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Good communication skills, people person
  • Awareness of environmental issues
  • Stamina
  • Love of the market
  • Reliable, conscientious

LOCATION

Anzac Avenue Dunedin (Railway Station carpark)

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Saturday mornings (8 – noon)

Note that there is an extra market over Christmas on 23rd of December

DRESS CODE

Warm clothing– water proof if wet, strong footwear, clean and tidy

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

As required

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS
  • The market is open in all weather, so must have good stamina and endurance.
  • Volunteers will be interviewed.
