SECURITY/PUBLIC SAFETY - Patrol Member

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Patrollers work in pairs. They are independent from Police but work alongside with police as extra “eyes and ears” to assist in building a safer community. They must be competent drivers, capable of working until 1 or 2 am on patrol nights.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Good observation skills and taking notes.

  • Sense of community safety.

  • Ability to work with other volunteers as scheduled on the roster.

LOCATION

North Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Friday and Saturday nights

DRESS CODE

Comfortable, warm, high visibility jacket  provided

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

CPNZ training locally. Opportunity to attend national Training Seminars

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Clean drivers’ licence, Good health.

  • Police vetting check required.

  • Two personal/ professional  referees required.
