ENVIRONMENTAL IMPROVEMENT/GARDENING - Community Garden and Conservation Volunteers

JOB DESCRIPTION

General introduction around gardens and conservation work. Planting veggies, weeding, planting vegetables and herbs, preparing and sowing seeds, tending to seedlings, plant propagating, maintaining seed collections.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Willing to get hands dirty
  • Ability to work manually
  • Respectful and with friendly manner to others

LOCATION

Shetland Street

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Negotiable to suit volunteer – the garden’s always there!

DRESS CODE

Safe footwear appropriate for tasks being undertaken and clothes suitable to be made dirty

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Ongoing training

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Volunteer must respect our Kaupapa, neighbours & other workers on the site whether paid or not. Must respect tools and work in a safe manner.
