Waiora Scout Camp situated in Whare Flat, Mosgiel is a core part of our Scouting culture here in the Otago Region. Since when it was purchased in 1948 by The Scouting Association of New Zealand it has offered Scouting groups and members of the public fantastic opportunities to challenge themselves, experience the great outdoors, wander through our 35 hectares, enjoy a wedding or birthday party close to the natural world as well as being an excellent venue for creative thoughts using our conference facilities. Waiora Scout Camp is now its own Charitable Trust operating under its own committee and any profits are used to benefit Scout groups within Otago. Two members of staff are employed by the campsite.
