TRANSPORTATION - DELIVERIES - Meals on Wheels Driver

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Collect and count meals from collection point. 

Deliver in own car to all addresses on list.  A route is given each day.

Give named meals to specific persons.

Return empty cartons to collection point.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Reliable and trustworthy.
  • Good oral communication in English.
  • Good sense of humour.
  • Interest in older people.
  • Patience and a good listener.

LOCATION

Central Business District South Dunedin Wakari Hospital

Green Island

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED
  • Monday – Friday 11:15am (CBD)
  • Monday – Friday 11:30am (South Dunedin)
  • Monday – Friday 12:15pm (Wakari Hospital)
  • Monday – Friday 11:30am (Green Island)

A meals on Wheels run takes approximately one hour to complete. Includes public holidays.

Just one run a month is enough to help!!

Neat and tidy.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Ongoing training provided. 

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

All volunteers undergo application, interview and police vetting processes. You must know you can pass a full police vetting check, please refer to the NZ Police website for further information. Own car needed for deliveries. Safe driver. Car must be warranted and registered.
