WORKING WITH SERVICE USERS - VOLUNTEER PIANIST
JOB DESCRIPTION |
A Volunteer who is an experienced pianist required to play piano at rest home for a blind woman with a disability. Piano is provided by the rest home. The Volunteer will be supported and accompanied by PACT staff to meet and get familiar with the client and playing piano for her to enjoy. |
SKILLS REQUIRED |
To be an experienced piano player who can play classical music. To be patient and understanding of someone who is blind and has other disabilities. |

Thirty minutes once or twice a week |
DRESS CODE |
Casual tidy |
SUPERVISION AND TRAINING |
The volunteer will be introduced to the client and will have the support of the PACT staff to become familiar with the client. |
SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS |
It would be ideal if the volunteer can bring their own classical music they would like to play on the piano. It would be possible for some music to be downloaded and printed if needed. Referees ideal but not essential. Ideal to have at least one reference from someone you know in the community. This can be a written reference or a name and contact number for me to call. |
