JOB DESCRIPTION

We are looking for people enthusiastic about South Dunedin! If you work, live or play in South Dunedin you meet the requirements to join our Community Crew!


Being a Community Crew member includes being part of our journey to Advocate, Network, Connect and Celebrate South Dunedin. Our mission is to continue making South Dunedin a Great Place to Live, Work and Play!


There is a part to play in our community for everyone whether you have 1 hour a week to spare or more!


Location: 278a King Edward Street


Come make a difference by:

  • Being involved in planning creative and exciting events
  • Supporting events in South Dunedin
  • Delivering our local newsletter the Lowdown to your street or suburb
  • Facilitating Community Conversations and supporting us in finding out what our community strengths, needs and wants.
  • Creating a space where our voices are heard

SKILLS REQUIRED

Friendliness

Basic Computer Skills

Passion for Community and South Dunedin!

Regardless of your skill and ability we will find a way for you to be part of our Community Crew

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Information Evening is on the 14th Nov 5:30-8pm. Following this we will find a role for you depending on your interests, time availability and talents.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Skills in Community Development, groups facilitation, interpersonal relationships and rapport building.

Potentially: Computer skills, planning, event management and advocacy.

Connecting with other people who are passionate about South Dunedin and Community Development

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

There is no requirement to attend the info evening, however, we will ask you for a police vet if you choose to be involved.A reimbursement is available for any purchases made on behalf of the network.
