RETAIL SALES/CHARITY SHOPS - Community Store Assistant

JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Op Shop volunteers contribute to the smooth daily running of the Community Store by providing a high level of quality customer service that meets the needs of our customers.

St John is currently looking for volunteers to support the day-today running of the shop (also on weekends), including helping with deliveries, sorting, and cleaning of goods. All volunteers will need to undertake a police check and will receive onsite training.

SKILLS REQUIRED
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Organisation and time management skills
  • Be a team play
  • Retails experience or customer service experience desirable

LOCATION

St John Community Store

86 Mcandrew Road

South Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Monday to Saturday, mornings and afternoons

DRESS CODE

Uniform provided

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Full training and ongoing support will be provided

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

All potential volunteers are interviewed and undergo a police check

Volunteer needs to provide two referees (phone contact details) that have known the applicant in a professional context
