COMPUTER SUPPORT - TRAINING - Computer Tutoring

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

We are a community organization trying to help people with a mental illness in a day rehabilitation setting to learn new skills. One of those things that people are keen to learn is computing skills. We would like to run a weekly class (1 - 2 hour duration) to teach people basic computing skills - how to use email, etc).

SKILLS REQUIRED

Computer know how.

LOCATION

2 Calder Street, St Kilda, Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

A few hours per week(Time and Day as suitable to the volunteer)

DRESS CODE

Tidy casual

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Orientation.

Brief overview of the organization.

Staff on hand.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Volunteers will be interviewed and police vetting is required

  • Character references required

  • Reimbursements to be discussed. Consider reimbursing travel costs.
