FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT - Club Treasurer

JOB DESCRIPTION

A volunteer is needed to manage bank accounts and deal with incoming accounts and gymnast's term fees. Most of the fees are paid through online banking, but some are brought directly to the gym and handed on to the treasurer. The treasurer sends copy of the on line banking details to the head coach who keeps a record of who has paid. There may be better ways of doing this which an experienced accountant could help us with.

SKILLS REQUIRED

A good knowledge of accounting and experience in dealing with bank transfers etc. Unlimited patience with voluntary personnel who are sometimes not as efficient as they could be. Volunteers also need to have complete honesty and confidentiality.

LOCATION

Mainly at own home, but also to attend meetings and functions we are involved in organizing but not always even that.

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

On-going treasurer support. Possible attendance at one meeting

per month and a few hours each week from home and also to liaise with club personnel

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

No supervision or training given as the volunteer is expected to be fully experienced in this area.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Volunteers will be interviewed, where they will state previous experience and provide a character reference. Police vetting will also be undertaken
