Event and Facility General Assistance - Volunteer Train Host

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

To be trained as volunteers to act as hosts on cruise ship excursion trains that Taieri Gorge Railway (Dunedin Railways) during the cruise ship season.

SKILLS REQUIRED

A good general knowledge, A tidy disposition, Prepared to work in a team, Be reasonably fit.

LOCATION

Dunedin Railway Station.

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Saturday around 7 to 8 hours – usual starting time is around 7 am and can finish between 1:30 pm and 3 pm.

DRESS CODE

This is an area under review at the present time.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

The Trust provides training on Health and Safety aspects of train operations.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Must be fit and able to accept instructions and work under pressure to provide a service to visitors to New Zealand.
