JOB DESCRIPTION

The gas works runs a number of community based events and at times some private hires. We are fully volunteer run and have a fantastic crew but need a few more people on board.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Common sense, good communication and good sense of fun! Helpful to have technical and or practical skills but not essential.

LOCATION

Dunedin Gasworks Museum

20 Braemar Street

South Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Usually Sundays, a few times throughout the year but you would have a choice of which events or activities you wish to be involved in.

DRESS CODE

Comfortable clothing that is not too good but tidy. Sturdy footwear.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Site familiarization.

Safety and safe evac procedures and crowd control etc.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

There may be conditions depending on the event. Interviews will be conducted.  Character references helpful but not essential. Would show you around and on a trial basis to ensure both parties are happy. Events with kids would be accompanied but a copy of the police vetting report would be appreciated if involved with those events. Certain expenses may be reimbursed, but usually transport and lunch responsibility of the volunteer.
