JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a digital volunteer position. Volunteers do not need to come to a physical location but can login from home to

www.dunedin.recollect.co.nz to access the Scattered Seeds

Digital Archive and choose the 'Crowdsourcing' button on the left

hand side of the page. Once there, volunteers will find an explanation and guidance about how to become a digital volunteer.

• Good typing skills

• Accuracy

• Attention to detail

• Ability to follow instruction (via the online training forms) or verbally

• Good reading skills

• Patience

LOCATION

Digital so no physical location.

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

No specific times.

DRESS CODE

No dress code.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Generally none is required but support via the 'Contact Us'

button or link on the Scattered Seeds site is available.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Cards are typed twice by two different volunteers (this is

managed by the system software). If both are typed exactly the

same, the data entry will be accepted. If there are differences,

the submitted cards will be vetted by staff. If a volunteer is not

following the online instructions he or she will be contacted by a

staff member, or, a volunteer is welcome to contact the library via

the online form on the Dunedin.recollect.co.nz site (Scattered

Seeds) for clarification and/or further verbal instruction.
