RETAIL - Mosgiel Hospice Shop Assistant

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

This is a varied role which includes serving customers, cleaning, tidying and assisting with visual merchandising.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Volunteers need to be able to demonstrate initiative, be motivated and enthusiastic but with the ability to take direction and work cooperatively in a team environment.

LOCATION

Mosgiel Hospice Shop - 172 Gordon Road, Mosgiel

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

The current requirement is for weekend volunteers, however this is always changing. Please contact the Shop Manager, Anke to discuss further.

Saturday Mornings, Saturday Afternoons, Sunday Mornings, Sunday Afternoons

DRESS CODE

Tidy, casual clothes.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

The volunteers are well inducted into the role, and then have ongoing support each shift from both staff and other volunteers

SPECIAL CONDITIONS

All volunteers will be interviewed

All volunteers will be required to undergo police vetting

All volunteers will need referees. We email out a form for referees to complete. The referees do not need to be formal work referees.
