TRANSPORTATION - PEOPLE - Novelty Train Driver

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Driving (and/or providing a commentary) on the novelty train/shuttle in the Dunedin Botanic Gardens. The train and shuttle transports passengers of all ages through pedestrian precincts of the garden.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • A sense of humour and patience.

  • Willingness to learn and be guided by the rules and bylaws of CREST and the Dunedin Botanic Garden

  • A genuine liking for people of all ages/nationalities

  • A sense of responsibility

LOCATION

Dunedin Botanic Gardens

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Winter Roster is one mid-week duty– weather permitting

Weekends  11am to 2.45 pm weather permitting

School Holidays – everyday 11 am – 2.45 pm

DRESS CODE

Neat and tidy appearance (We are the public face of the Botanic Gardens.)

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Full training provided with ongoing support.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

  • Minimum age is 20 with full driver’s license.

  • A mature manner is essential

  • Postal address and telephone number is required as forms will be posted.
