JOB DESCRIPTION

GirlGuiding NZ is looking for fun, energetic leaders that will deliver exciting programmes to girls once a week. Unit meetings run for up to 2 hours once a week during the school terms, with opportunities for other planned activities on the occasional weekend.

SKILLS REQUIRED

* Enjoy spending time with girls and young women aged 5 - 17years.

*  Encouraging, patient and assertive

* Love being a part of the fun and activities with children

* Include the children in the planning of activities

* Build lasting relationships with the children, families, other leaders and volunteers

* Be open to learning and developing yourself

* Love meeting new people, making new friends and connections

*Be keen to have fun, and provide positive experiences for the children

LOCATION

Units all over Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Weekday evenings and weekends

DRESS CODE

A uniform will be provided.

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

Training will be provided on how to run a unit and how to plan for a unit meeting. There is also additional training available for things such as camping.

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

Interviews will be conducted and volunteers need 2 written character references. Own transport required. All expenses will be reimbursed.
