TRADES - CARPENTRY - Wicked Woodworkers Wanted

 

JOB DESCRIPTION

Do you enjoy working with your hands? Do you like building projects? Do you enjoy tinkering? Then we have the role for you.

We are looking for volunteers to help make small community woodwork projects, such as Lilliput Libraries, park benches, and planters.

Small workshop, tools and materials will be supplied, along with friendship and a cuppa.

If you have a couple of hours to spare on a Thursday and enjoy pottering in your workshop at home, why not come and potter in ours?

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • carpentry skills

  • have a passion that you’re keen to teach others

  • enjoys the company of others while doing something you love

  • want to make a practical difference in your community

LOCATION

186 Macandrew Road, South Dunedin

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Every Thursday from 10.00am - 2.00pm.

Come every week or once in a while

DRESS CODE

Comfortable toolshed clothes and covered shoes

SUPERVISION AND TRAINING

  • Health and safety

  • Organisation overview

  • You'll learn new woodwork skills from others in the group

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS

If you have a special project you'd like to work on - bring it along. The group would love to get involved.
