Friends of the Medical School

JOB DESCRIPTION

 Either

• Be visited by a pair of students in own home to discuss your own personal experience of illness and/or disability ie: Diabetes, Cardio-vascular disease etc.
  

And/or

• Travel to the medical school to meet with a small group of students for an interview and/or examination

NOTE: There will be no intimate examination

SKILLS REQUIRED

Must be willing and able to communicate experience of illness and/or disability with medical students

LOCATION

Own house and/or  University of Otago

DAYS AND TIMES REQUIRED

Monday – Friday, morning or afternoon, whenever times permits

DRESS CODE

Smart casual

Applicants are considered on a case by case basis and matched with students around March each year. Depending on the needs of the students you may not be successfully matched so please do not expect to be contacted immediately.
