Groups - RVVF Project
The RV group, RVVF (RV Volunteer Friends), is a non-profit group that travels all over the country performing service projects in local, state and municipal parks. Anywhere from 2 - 15 RV's will come into the park with volunteers to primarily boon dock on the old ball field located near the fish cleaning station, end of zone 3.
The volunteers are pre-screened by the RVVF organization and also will have had signed a liability waiver.
Missouri State Parks will provide the following:
- Nationwide background check
- All supplies for each project
- Larger pieces of equipment
- PPE on hand
- Guidance and oversight
- Area for camping
- Wax floors in Dining Hall kitchen
- Paint floors in cabins
- Paint cabin bathroom floors
- Refresh bathroom stall dividers in cabins
- Paint exteriors of buildings
- Reglaze windows on buildings as needed
- Repair building window screens and replace hanging hardware
- Install new boards on picnic tables
- Restore the Frisco Railroad (Dinning Hall) bell to operational condition
- Polyurethane interior wooden walls of the staff quarters
- Scrape paint from glass windows of the staff quarters
- Replace seating boards at the amphitheater as needed

Located in the southwest Ozark hills, Roaring River State Park is one of three Missouri state parks stocked with rainbow trout. Eager anglers flock to the park year round to try and catch their lunker trout.
The scenic setting makes everything more fun. Roaring River begins at Roaring River Spring, the deepest explored spring in North America! The park also has seven hiking trails, picnic tables for a leisurely lunch, and a nature center to learn about the park.
For those wanting to spend the night, the park has many options. The campground has basic, electric, and sewer/electric/water site. Rustic cabins are scattered throughout the park, or guests may choose a modern room at the Emory Melton Inn and Conference Center. The center also boasts a full-service restaurant.
