Adaptive Recreation - Adaptive/Therapeutic Recreation Volunteer
Do you have a passion for inclusion? The Adaptive Programs team is seeking fun and kindhearted volunteers to assist individuals with disabilities during activities. Programs include, but are not limited to, arts and crafts, sports, social events, and day camps. Program locations may vary and will primarily take place at the Maidu Community Center and Mahany Fitness Center. Applicants will receive an e-mail with next steps, including a virtual training and background check.

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with set-up/clean-up of programs
- Communicate instructions to participants and lead activities in small groups
- Provide one-on-one support to participants
- Report behavioral and safety concerns to staff
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 16
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- All abilities welcome. Volunteers must be able to complete tasks with minimal support and prompting or come with a support person who can assist.
