Conservation into Tomorrow: Urban Ecology Week
3-Day Urban Ecology Program for Teens
M-W June 1-3, Avon Woods Nature Center
9:00am-1:30pm
This three-day urban ecology-intensive program is designed for teens who want a deeper understanding of Cincinnati’s local ecosystems. Participants will explore mammals, reptiles, insects, birds, and native plants while learning how these species interact within urban forests and creeks.
Through field observation and discussion, participants will build identification skills, study ecological concepts happening in our parks and examine real conservation challenges. A strong next step for those ready to think more critically about nature and grow as environmental leaders.
This is a free educational opportunity for our teen volunteers.
