Boise Fire Department

These community partners will assist the City of Boise Wildfire Mitigation Team with maintaining Firewise demonstration areas. Work will include weeding, dead-heading, planting, thinning, raking, etc.

The purpose of these project areas are for educational outreach to build community awareness of proper landscaping in wildfire prone areas.

While working on specific tasks, community partners may also interact with other mitigation partners, such as Idaho Firewise, landscapers and the general public.

Applicants must be 16 years or older. The schedule varies. Community partners should have experience interacting with the public and be knowledgeable and tactful in their approach.
