Dakota County Volunteer Network (DCVN) - 2.07-2.08: DCVN Sampling Series: Super Bagging Volunteer - The Open Door Food Shelf

Dakota County Volunteer Network Sampling Series 2026

Interested in volunteering but not sure where to go? Looking to try a few things and see what best fits your interest and skill sets? Just looking to dip your toe in the water first? Then this is a great opportunity for you!

DCVN Sampling Series seeks to connect local volunteer programs with fresh faces and new interest from our local communities. These events are one-time commitments that seek to show participants a glimpse of an organization and the good work that they do with the option to get fully plugged in after the fact.

This Month's Event: Supper Bagging with The Open Door Food Pantry

The Open Door Food Pantry's annual Super Bagging fundraising event is back and we need volunteers to bag groceries & help raise money for those in need of food support across Dakota County.

Please join us on Saturday, Feb. 7 and Sunday, Feb. 8 for our 13th annual Super Bagging. We will be at eight Cub Foods stores across Eagan, Lakeville, Apple Valley and Burnsville.

Each volunteer shift runs for 2 or 2.5 hours, with time slots from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday across all seven Cub Foods. Each time slot requires 8-10 volunteers.
