📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to support court users in Queensland, making their day in court as stress-free as possible. As a valued member of the court team, you will assist with the smooth operation of the court and provide appropriate support to court users and staff. This role is currently working in Brisbane and looking to expand in other locations. ✅ What you’ll be doing: - Working as part of a supportive court team - Able to make the commitment of a minimum of 3-4 hours (mornings only on a weekly/fortnightly basis) as rostered. - Welcoming court users with a warm smile and compassion. - Assisting court users with enquiries - Clarifying needs and directing or accompanying users to required support - Explaining court processes - Providing external supports and service referrals - You will work closely with court staff, following their directions as required, and provide a reassuring presence for court users

- Acceptance and respect for people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures/religions, languages, genders, and sexual orientations - Excellent listening skills and empathy for others - Ability to prioritise and manage needs effectively - Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and high ethical standards - Calm and reassuring demeanour when assisting stressed or anxious individuals - Good self-management of own emotions - Willingness to work within organisational guidelines and represent the organisation professionally 🎁 What’s in it for you?
