📃 This volunteer opportunity will help to Supporting service users with emergency relief, referrals, general tasks 

 

Assist families to access support services both internal and external to the organisation, including practical and crisis support where necessary and provide follow up as required. 

 

Develop and initiate activities in consultation with the Local Services Manager delivered from a community hub that promote personal and social development and a sense of belonging and well-being in the community, with an emphasis on responding to identified need, access to community services and facilities and the development and maintenance of personal and social survival skills. 

 

This will be servicing clients in the vicinity of Manunda and surrounding areas. The Hub is also known as the Manunda Neighbourhood Centre. 

 

It would be for roughly two mornings a week, working with the 1 full time and 1 part time community support workers that are employed at the hub 

 

📍Location: Family Services | Manunda Neighbourhood Centre, 98 Birch Street Manunda QLD 4870 

 

✅ What you’ll be doing: 

▪️ 

 Assisting with emergency relief for clients that arrive at the hub. 

▪️ 

 Assisting at Pantry day on Thursday mornings 

▪️ 

 Assisting with Hub activities such as playgroup, client visits, training events, and day to day activities 

▪️ 

 Assist with referral reviews and first point of contact with clients

        ▪️ Cert III or IIII in Community Support Work
