Celebrate Public Works Day with the Park Spark team! Public Works Staff are essential workers who keep our community running strong all year long by maintaining our streets, water and sewer systems, and much more! Join the Park Spark team on Saturday, May 23rd to celebrate the hard work the Public Works staff do to maintain our beautiful city.

Volunteer Roles:

We are looking for volunteers to assist the Park Spark team with:

• Engaging visitors in our Park Spark booths and activities
• Guiding visitors to the parking and event areas
• Litter picking during the event

Details:

Location: The Public Works Day event runs from 10am - 2pm at the Austin Operations Building, 500 Mariner Way, Coquitlam (see map below). 

Note - the precise meeting location will be sent out the day or two prior to the event.

Time: There are two volunteer shifts (9:30am - 12:30pm and 12:00pm - 2:30pm). Those signed up for the first shift may assist with set up, and those signed up for the second shift may assist with clean up, in addition to the above mentioned tasks.

Notes:

• Please dress for the weather and wear comfortable shoes as we will be standing and walking around for the event. Bring a water bottle, wear sunscreen, hat and/or rain gear depending on weather.
