The Opportunity |
|
|
Join APEGA as a volunteer for the 33rd annual Rock & Fossil Clinic in Edmonton on Saturday, October 3, 2026, at the University of Alberta. This hands-on, family-friendly event invites youth, families, and the public to explore Alberta’s geological history through rock and fossil identification, interactive activities, collections, and guided learning experiences. Volunteers will help attendees identify their rock and fossil samples, share their enthusiasm for geoscience, and inspire curiosity about the earth sciences and related careers. Volunteers are also welcome to bring their own collection to showcase. Whether you’re a practising geoscientist, student, or simply passionate about helping others discover the wonders beneath our feet, this is a fun and meaningful opportunity to connect with the community and support STEM outreach.
