Trail Champions - Trail Champions Volunteer Day

St. Joe State Park staff is seeking volunteers to assist with trail maintenance on Friday, June 5. Participants will spend time outdoors while clearing debris, blazing and repairing a 2.5-mile section of the Pine Ridge trail.

Volunteers should meet at the Harris Branch Trailhead at 9 a.m. We will break for lunch on the trail at 12 p.m. before hiking back to our vehicles at 1 p.m. Participants should pack a lunch and plenty of water. Please wear close-toed shoes, long pants and gloves.

About St. Joe State Park

The roar of engines breaks the stillness of the Old Lead Belt at St. Joe State Park, one of two off-road vehicle parks in the state park system. The many trails set aside for off-road vehicle use make the park the premiere off-road vehicle area. The park also features four lakes, two swimming beaches, equestrian trails, a hiking and bicycling trail, a water trail and picnic sites, as well as two campgrounds capable of accommodating campers with ORV or horse trailers.
