General Volunteer Activities - Seed Library Support
Are you interested in supporting our local Seed Library? We need help sorting, stuffing, and labeling seed envelopes, as well as folding seed envelopes for use in the seed library. Some seed varieties require counting very small seeds. Flexible shifts if you’re able to work solo, or general availability on Sundays, Tuesdays, or Thursdays in the afternoon if you’d prefer a group project.
Requirements:

Age 13+ (volunteer candidates 18+ must be fingerprinted as part of their intake process)
- Generally/occasional available: Sundays, 1pm-3:30pm, Tuesdays 3pm-7pm, OR Thursdays 3pm-6pm
- Patience to count and work with small inventory items such as tomato seeds
- Can pick up simple paper folding techniques quickly with instruction
- Reliable/able to firmly commit to a day/time to volunteer
- Open and consistent communicator
- Reliable transportation to volunteer in-person at the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Library
